Adobe Reader communicates on port 80 and port 443 and needs to be able to reach <https://aractivate.adobe.com> Although Adobe reader uses port 80 and port 443 to communicate with the servers, no html files are transmitted. Instead, the following content types are used: xml, pdf, fdf and etd. Adobe Reader uses custom HTTP headers to communicate. Some firewalls remove them. It is important that those headers are not removed. Hope this helps
