One of our users just purchase an expensive job related document. They went to activate their reader DRM (got Net passport etc) but in the end got "Your Adobe software could not be activated. The Adobe DRM Activator is not responding" The ONLY information I could get from the support site is this cryptic statement in a FAQ: "If the activation fails, there may be an issue related to a proxy server or a firewall. Some prevent the activation process from completing correctly. If you are at work, your Network Administrator may be able to help." Well as a network admin, this is about zero help. If this is a network issue, what are the requirements to activate the books (do you use specific ports, etc?) Unless we can resolve this problem sensibly, none of the employees on our network will be permitted by purchase Adobe DRM documents.
