Commenting permissions do work with Adobe Reader for Sparc Solaris. The message mentioned above symbolzies some problem occurred while accessing additional rights assigned to the document (like commenting rights). This could appear due to following reasons, if: 1. While launching Adobe Reader on Solaris, just ensure that all plugins are getting loaded (including PPKLite.api). In case it doesn't load, additional rights will not work. 2. The PDF content has changed after it was assigned additional rights. If you FTP the pdf to Sun Workstation using ASCII transfer mode (rather than binary transfer), it could tamper PDF content. As a result, additional rights will not work. 3. These additional rights expire after a specified time. Just ensure that time set on Sun workstation is similar to that of Windows machine where its working. Let me know your observations once you try these things. Hope this helps. Thanks, Hemant
