Acrobat not translating spot colors well when printing in B&W.

Printing out PDF's in B&W some of the pantones appear randomly grey.

Acrobat doesn๏ฟฝt appear to be translating spot colors well when printing in B&W. Instead of translating a pantone color to 100% graduation, it scales it down based on the lightness of the actual pantone (from 1-100).

For example we are using pantone 368U in 50%, our end result would be a 13% black.

Does anyone know a work around this?

Thanks
