I can confirm this problem, at least on the Linux version 7.0. A PDF document created from an A4 source, such as Open Office Org Writer, will print as Letter unless the print properties are changed. I have checked this on a variety of files, some created on the Mac version of Distiller. I can find no way of setting a default print page size in Preferences. It would be really nice to fix this somehow, or have Acrobat Reader correctly interpret the document page size. The correct page size, 210 * 297, is shown in Document Properties on the File menu, but when printing it defaults to 215.9 * 279.4. After correcting properties from Letter to A4,this changes to 209.9 * 297.0.
