I'm having the same problem with Adobe Reader 7.08 and IE6. I finally figured out that whenever I view a pdf in IE6 that acrord32.exe does not terminate after closing IE. Then I get a dwwin.exe dll initialization failed and acrord32.exe application error when I logoff or shutdown.
