I recently have had a problem with slow printing on Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 and now 7.0. After doing some trouble shooting and lots of head scrathing, I found that in my user's default profile there were network printers that could not connect anymore due to a IP address change. These printers were being added by a login script and were staying resident and not being removed. After removing these printers, the slow printing issue went away. I have replaced the default user with a new one and no longer do I have the old printers to deal with. I hope this helps.
