Is that true for Acrobat 6.0 Pro as well? I've been running both (Reader 7.0.8) for at least a month or more (same reason: to read some pdfs created with Acrobat 7.0), with no issues UNTIL this week. I received a pdf of a Powerpoint show that was created with an OLD (v 4.0) version of Acrobat (or at least had that old format; it MAY have been created with a non-Adope PDF maker). It displays only parts of the slides with Reader 7.0.8 (missing both some graphics and text), but works fine with Acrobat 6.0! For now, I've set the default for opening all pdfs to Acrobat 6.0 Pro, and use Reader ONLY for files that can't open with Acrobat 6.0 Pro.
