I had Adobe Reader 6.0 installed which was creating hundreds (or thousands?) of .TMP files (42 gigs worth) in the Windows/Temp directory. On average they were of the order of 5mb each. This was completely filling up my hard drive, so my machine would no longer function properly. At a windows forum I was advised to uninstall it and put 7.0.8 on, which I did. I no longer have v6 on my machine, confirmed when I go to "windows add remove programs". I am running windows XP (5.1 SP2) on an Acer travelmate 8000 laptop. Does anyone know what is causing these temp files to be created, and what I have to do to prevent it? Any assistance greatly appreciated. Cheers, Adam
