Hi, Really appreciate any expert out there helping me to resolve this one. I run Windows 98SE and am based in the UK. On Adobe Acrobat startup I get: Checking / "Checking for updates" > Update > "Adobe Reader has been updated. Please restart before continue." This pop-up window appears every time Adobe Reader is started each day (or alternatively when the first pdf document is launched). It is especially annoying as the notification window hides behind other open Windows programs and stops the first pdf document loading until user responds "OK". My Adobe version is 6.0.2 18/05/04 I have already tried: 1) De-installing & re-installing Adobe Reader (to 6.0.2 as I run Win 98SE); 2) Setting Edit > Preferences > Updates to "Check For Updates" "Manually". Aghhh
