By chance that you have Acrobat 6 and Reader 7 on the same machine. I had a major problem develop when I installed Acrobat Reader 7.08 on my machine that had Acrobat 6.0 Standard. First I was unable to pull up pdfs while in internet explorer and the second problem was that when Reader 7 loaded at startup I could see my task bar icons change colors. In particular McAfee icon would change from red to black. I uninstalled both Acrobat 6 with all updates and Reader 7. I then re-installed Reader 7 by itself. It solved both problems listed above. I no longer install Acrobat 6 Standard on any machine that I want to use Reader 7.
