I posted about this a couple of weeks ago. I'm getting an error regularly when I open PDFs with Adobe Reader 7.0.8 on and XP Pro with SP2 installed. It says "Cannot find or create the font xxx (different with each file). Some characters may not display or print correctly." The same PDF files are read with no problem on another machine I use with XP64 Pro and also Adobe Reader 7.0.8. I've since tried with no improvement to reinstall again, this time even checking the registry for any vestigial data left there. I restarted the computer after uninstalling the old installation. I haven't seen anything here in the forum or in the FAQ about this particular problem and I'm beginnng to think I've been somehow specially cursed with it. Has anyone heard of this before? Should there be a directory of Type I fonts somewhere on the machine? TIA
