I am having a problem printing PDF files that I cannot figure out. The error is randomly happening on both new printers and old printers on Windows XP platforms. This is only happening on 2 of our documents, and does not appear to repairable by using new or older versions of Adobe Reader. The error occurs when you try to print the file after streaming it off the web. When you hit the print icon, or go through File/Print, the reader completely crashes and disappears. What is left behind is a blank IE screen. I pulled a pdf off one of my affected computers and I cannot print it either. The only way around this problem is to use "print as image" option, which is about as slow as time itself. I have scoured the forum and Google, and have had no luck determining the cause or source of the error. One additional note, I can pull the affected PDF into Adobe Reader Pro, and I cannot optimize the file without getting an error "Error encountered while Processing images" If I try to print from PRO I get blown out the same as the other machines. If I disable the advanced printing options I get "Acrobat.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. you will need to restart the program: an error log has been created" but I can't find the log... Any help on this would be appreciated.
