Hi Larry

Had the same problem.
First, remove the files manually.
Secondly, use this program:
 <http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301>

It can remove the adobe from the add/remove programs.

Then you should be able to reinstall from scratch.
