I have had similar problems, and not just with Adobe. I have found that double-clicking or right-clicking on a file to start the relevant program often returns the "File Not Found" error, but opening the program first, then navigating from the file menu works fine. It is something to do with file and/or network rights, and possibly folder names (folders with spaces or unusual characters don't translate properly).
