I am having the same irratating problem of Adobe Reader 7.08 (and plain 7 for that matter) not file associating when the user has less than Admin rights.
The choose program to open this file comes up, and then when Adobe Reader is chosen, nothing happens.

Oddly enough, if a .pdf file is downloaded from the Internet in Firefox, it opens Adobe Reader externally (not within the browser) just fine.

I'm actually glad to see some other people are having this problem, and it's not just me. Glad too, to see others running nonadmin. I'm afraid the solution might be to go back to ver 6. Strangely, in Windows Adobe Reader won't allow the two versions to be both installed.

thanks,

Will
