Thanks, Mike... sorry for the delay in the sur-reply, but I couldn't find this thread/topic 'til now.

Took me a while, but I finally found the Detect and Repair utility under the Reader Help Menu, and am about to re-boot and see if it works.

If not, I'll just uninstall Reader completely and the heck with it.
