I am using Windows XP and have Adobe Reader 9.

The message attachment comes in to us with winmail.dat but the attachment was sent to us using PDF producer Acrobat Distiller 6.0 (windows)
PDF version 1.4 (Acrobat 5.x)
why does it do this?
we need to be able to open these attachments.
Any ideas?
