I have the same problem. I can open any pdf, but when I try to open a second one, the program gives me this message

"Adobe Reader 9.0 has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

I have removed and reinstalled the program and no change, same problem. The computer is new and all other programs function properly. Reader 9.0 is the only Adobe program I am running. The system is Vista.
