I currently have Adobe Reader 8.1.2 Often, when I connect to the internet, it downloads the update for 8.1.3 (about 30MB as far as I can tell). It then goes about updating Reader and then reports that the update was complete, with no apparent errors. When I check the version of Reader, it is still 8.1.2 This has now happened many times. Repeated downloads of 30MB a time is a waste when I only occasionally read PDF files. What is going on and how can I correct it? Peter Windows XP Home SP3 (up-to-date), 1GB RAM, 3.0MHz Pentium 4
