Unfortunately there is no such cleanup tool from Adobe; I wish there were one.

What I would try in your situation
* Remove Adobe Reader with the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility
* Reinstall Adobe Reader 9
* Uninstall Adobe AIR & Acrobat.com
* Uninstall Adobe Reader 9
* Install Adobe Reader 8.1.3
* Uninstall Adobe Reader 8.1.3

At this point you should have nothing Adobe left on your disk or registry.

* Reinstall Adobe Reader 9

Adobe Reader 9 without AIR & Acrobat.com can be downloaded from <http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.0/enu/AdbeRdr90_en_US_Std.exe>
