I need to add a button or a menu item to stand alone (not running within IE) Acrobat Reader that would allow me to send currently active PDF file to electronic document filing program which can be done through shell command: "c:\program files\Formark\AuthorLink.exe CurrentlyOpenFile.pdf". I can add menu item and get current file name using JavaScript but I have no idea is it possible to execute shell command from Javascript. It is OK if user gets warning message about possible security violation Any ideas how to do this ?
