I have this same issue with one of my users. The form definitely has fillable fields, because we transferred the PDF doc to another machine and it works fine. I tried setting the PDF/A mode to never, uninstalled Adobe Pro 8.1.2 from the machine, cleaned the registry out and installed a fresh copy of Reader 9 and updated it for her. Still unable to enter text in the fields. She gets the pink dropdown notice at the top that says to fill out the fields and we can even click the button at the right that highlights the fields. Also, she can select check boxes on the form with no problem, she just can't bring up any text in the field. The form in question is an application for a Chinese Visa, and as such when you open the PDF we get a warning message about needing the traditional Chinese language pack and the Japanese language pack to display properly. That's about all the info I can think of. Any ideas how we can remedy this issue?
