Today, the Microsoft technician in Bombay, India called, saying he knew how to get Adobe Reader 7.9 to work with the Internet Explorer 7 browser. He took control of my computer and did some things which, sure enough, allowed Adobe Reader 7.9 to open in Internet Explorer 7. What did he do? Durned if I know. I just tried to open a PDF document on the web, and got the same old error message I've been getting: "Internet Explorer Has Stopped Working." "Internet Explorer Will Now Close." So for me, it's back to using the Mozilla Firefox browser to open PDF documents with Adobe Reader 7.9 The technician did admit that they're really learning by experimenting, just as I am, because Windows Vista is so new that everybody is still trying to figure out what can or can't be done in Windows Vista. Thank you.
