adobe reader 8.0 (free version) licence accept

I have hit a very frustrating problem with the above, having downloaded and installed adobe reader 8 all is fine till I come to the license agreement.
When tapping the "accept" key nothing happens!
I also have the same response with the "Decline"
The Only way anything happens is to hit the X, and I then get a response of "agreement declined" (or words along these lines)
I am using XP and FireFox.......can anyone suggest what i should do to rectify this irritating problem?
