Running Adobe Reader 8.0 on a non-administrator ID on intel MacBook under OS X 10.4.8. Whenever I open Reader from a non-administrator ID it asks me to authenticate to "make changes to the Adobe Reader.app." I've tried moving a copy to the local id, changing permissions, and moving the library items to the local library. If I don't authenticate, I get the message that Adobe Reader could not install correctly. I've authenticated a few times in the hopes that it would install what it needs and work in the future, but the problem persists. Nothing seems to work, rendering the application unusable except for the administrator id (where no authentication is necessary and the application opens right up). Any thoughts on a way to make it work so that I don't have to come and authenticate every time my assistant tries to open Reader? I'm not going to give my assistant administrator access to the machine, so without a work-around, he's going to have to use version 5.0 (7.0 doesn't work on the MacBook). This seems like such a major issue, yet I can't find anything on Adobe's website on what to do....
