Same problem here. If we use the msi and mst, pushing it with SMS,
Version 7.0.5 uninstalls and V 8 fails because it cannot write to the registry. Only Everyone has read access to PersistentHandler

No full versions of Adobe Acrobat are installed on any of the problem machines - only the Reader

What has Adobe done to lock down this key and cause this failure?
We too are running the package with administrative aceess. Since we cannot give local administrators group write access to this key (access denied), we have to install it manually and "Ignore" the errors. We have 10,000 machines and I am not looking forward to the number of machines we may have to manually install the Reader V 8 on.

Is there anyone out there from Adobe that would like to respond to this thread and give us a solution? It is apparently a problem that needs to be resolved.

I took snapshots of the two write errors if anyone from Adobe is interested.
