When I downloaded Version 8, it deleted my Adobe Acrobat

That's impossible.

can somebody tell me what I need to do to...get Acrobat back?

Make sure Reader isn't running, then go to Start>Run and type in acrobat.exe, then the enter key. If that doesn't start up Acrobat Standard or Pro, you never had it, or you need to get out the install CD and reinstall
