Windows Faxing feature lost in 8.0

After upgrading to Adobe Reader 8.0, I am no longer able to "drag-and-drop" pdf files to my fax machine. I receive an error that it is not my default printer. I can only get the darn thing to work (like it use to in Reader 7.0) if the fax machine is the only thing listed in Printers and Faxes. Does anyone know of a simple way to resolve this problem?
