I have the same problem. I can install Reader 7.09 or 8 just fine. When I try to start either one, I get the hourglass by the cursor for a few seconds then it goes away and nothing happens. Have had this problem for weeks now. (I depend on Foxit now since Reader won't start). I have uninstalled (manually and automatically) all previous versions of Reader including manually checking through the Registry for Adobe instances. None there. Have removed all nppdf32.dll copies from other software using a file search on the C: drive. What else can I try? Thanks. Stan White
