Hi, I use my laptop as my "main" computer (it's connected to internet) and also have a desktop computer (not connected to internet) that I use to back-up my files. This works fine, except I just realized that when using my desktop, I cannot open any pdf ebooks that were originally downloaded to my laptop. When I try to open these files on the desktop (which is not connected to internet) I get the message, "Your computer needs to be connected to the internet in order to continue". I do not want to connect this desktop to the internet, and even if I do, from reading this forum I get the impression that I still won't be able to read ebooks as they are "tied" to the laptop they were downloaded to.

Is there any way around this, so that I can read my ebooks on my other pc?

I'm using Adobe Reader 7.0.0

Thanks!
