Under Preferences, Documents, when you check the box "Show each document in its own window (requires restart) this will tile the search and document windows vertically. However, unless you have administrative rights, conducting a search will crash Adobe Reader with the following error: Instruction at 0x2d88727b referenced memory at 0x00000008. The memory could not be read. Click OK to terminate the program. Because our systems allow users to run with Power User rights, we had to uninstall Acrobat Reader 8 and install version 7.0.9 which works flawlessly. Otherwise, Adobe needs to fix the version 8 bug for users with less than administrative rights.
