After doing some searching in these forums, and coming across the term "Trust policy", I was able to answer my own question! The security warning I was referring to is a feature of the Trust Manager (Edit->Preferences->Trust Manager). The section concerned with this feature is entitled: Resource Access, and you need to click "Change Site settings". There you will see displayed any particular choices about specific web sites that you have asked Acrobat to remember, and these choices can be removed, so that they can be set again.
