I have windows XP with service pak 2 - every time I boot up a message appears, saying a duplicate file [application] exists [this started recently for no reason?] anyway it promts me to replace or place the application in another program. Hitting replace gets rid of the message but it's back again on the next boot up. Since that didn't work I have recently tried placing the application file in a Doc folder - blast me that did not solve it either, the message is still there every boot up - and now I can't get rid of the application file copy I put in the Doc folder, deleting it sends it to trash but it magically reappears back in the Doc folder in a couple of seconds. [yes I am a nube about some things]

can anyone offer solutions, on 1] solving the boot up message problem and 2]getting rid of the copy I put into the Doc folder? Did this happen because of a automatic update on Adobe reader?
