I am running Windows XP SP2. I have downloaded and installed reader 8.0 with no apparent problems but the program fails to open. I have removed using windows Add/Remove and installed 7.0.9. That also fails to open. I have upgraded to IE7. But it still won't open. No error messages, just won't open. Any web sites using PDF files say there is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. Please exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and try again. Any help in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.
