The ram memory Acrobat Reader 8 uses increases alot when scrolling up and down in a PDF document. When I opened a 57 mb PDF document in Acrobat Reader, I saw in the task manager that AcroRd32.exe only took up 36 mb of ram and my overall commit charge had increased from 200 to 250 mb. After scrolling up and down in my document for several minutes I saw that AcroRd32.exe increased it's ram steadily up to 800 mb, after which it fell back to about 400 mb. My total commit charge however continued to increase, up to 1.7 GB of memory.I only have 1 GB of ram so by this time I was already using my virtual memory.
