I'm using Acrobat 8.0 with an OKI C7200 Colour laser, using the internal Postscript 3 driver.

Whenever I open a pdf document from an older version and I try to print, all my IMAGES come out with a red colour blocking all colours except Black (The area of the red is exactly the size of the image). (I didn't have the problem with acrobat 7.xx.) I have got around this problem now by going to advanced printing options and converting the output to RGB (which is odd as the printer has the usual CMYK colours inside), it works properly.

However, now i tried to do a 2-up printing and I have the same problem, converting the colour information, makes no difference. I contacted OKI who said a) the driver will not be updated and b) it maybe taking the information in 2-up mode from somewhere else eg from the screen view(??? - didn't understand that one). BUT if I print in 2-up using the PCL driver instead of the PS driver, it works.

3 Questions:-
1) is there a way of making adobe default the correct colour output I want whenever is opens a file (so I don't need to worry about converting) as unfortunately I set off a large print job (1000 pages of colour), left the office to find on my return 1000 useless pages.....
2) Anybody know how to get around the 2-up colour problem?
3) Why should acrobat 8.0 cause problems and not 7?
