Scripting Reader in an IFRAME of a web page?

Hello,

This is my first post here and I'm hoping someone can help me...

I have a web page that contains an IFRAME tag.

The SRC= attribute of the IFRAME references a static PDF file on a hard
drive (no web server is involved)

Assuming the browser is IE

The page displays all my content as well as the PDF document in the
IFRAME area.

However I would like to have some programmatic control over the
document sitting in the IFRAME using javascript. Specifically I would
like to be able to control the viewmode, and page number, and hide
certain toolbars, etc of Reader using some javascript in the main
parent page (all on same domain so no cross domain scripting).

What properties, methods and events are exposed by the PDF document
sitting in the IFRAME? What Adobe manual should I reference? Also how
do I syntactically write my page javascript to get at these properties?
Would it be as simple as:

document.frames(0).PDFViewMode = ????

I'm assuming the viewer in the IFRAME is the adobe activex pdf browser
control?

It's easy enough to just load a PDF to a frame, but how to control it
programatically?

The basic intended page structure is this:

other html for page proper...

other html for page proper...

thanks for any help on this
