A few details about Web Inspector. If a user tries to access the internet thru a web browser, Web Inspector intercepts the page request and returns a login screen. After logging in, a log out popup window appears and the internet access is then allowed (subject to the users access rules).

In the case of other software that automatically updates, web inspector has a utility that we can use to see what url or ip address is being used for the update. We can them tell Web Inspector to automatically allow all traffic to that address. It works without problem for windows updates, as well as all other software that auto updates.

Acrobat Updater is different. The Web Inspector utility that tells us the url/ap address does not register any traffic when we manually update acrobat, therfore we cannot tell it to allow this trafic.
