Thanks for the reply.
I removed Reader8, used CCleaner, and installed reader8 again. And guess what? It still doesn't start. I've been uninstalling, cleaning and installing again for more than 10 times, and I'm still where I was in the start.
What I don't understand is why is it so important to remove all previous installations and files for a new software to work. I'm surely not the greatest computer guy, but I'm not so bad either. I've been on computers for more than 20 years, and this is the first time I encounter something like this.
If it is so important to remove so much stuff for reader8 to work, why not have an application within the install executable to search and destroy the unwanted files?
I hate to say this, but I'll find something else to read pdf files.
Thanks anyway.
