I tried to open a PDF file and I got a message saying I needed to install Adobe Reader, I am running Windows XP. I tried to install the newest version (8) and it gets almost done installing then says cannot remove the old files. I went to Control Panel Add/Remove Programs and the list shows Adobe Reader 7.0,8. I clicked on it to remove it starts then stops with a message saying it is unable to remove due to a patch package problem and to contact Adobe. I am stumped, I never had a problem opening a PDF file before, this just started, what do I do from here? Thank you.
