can't install Reader8

When I try to do so I get to a point where it says the AR 6.0 can't be found or is on another network that can't be accessed.
I can see the AR6.0 on my computer, but can't open it nor delete it as I get the same message. I can't remember if this program came with CS2 or what.
 I reinstalled an 5.5 included with another program, but this didn't help.
