reader 8.0 is slow, very slow to open documents

I am having trouble with reader 8.0 taking awhile to open documents.

basically documents that opened immediately in 7.0 take much, while immediately opening, take much, much longer to fully display and to print.

Is there some feature that is doing this that I can turn off because it's sure not an improvement?

Or is there a flaw that will soon be fixed.

I have the very first version of reader 8.0.0 and am opening things in firefox
