If you have a prior version of Reader, this may well be the source of your problem. There are many messages here on the forum about this. You have not fully removed ALL of the files and folders yet based on your info. Do try running Add/Remove Programs first. If that fails, then you will need to do it manually. This, unfortunately, includes delving into the Registry-which can be very Dangerous. WARNING-editing the Registry is your responsibility. Be extremely careful to make a backup of it and a Restore Point for the system. Delete ONLY those references that are Adobe Reader specific. Hope this and the other threads help solve your problem.
