Digital Signatures in Adobe Reader 8

I'm running into a problem signing an existing signature field with Adobe Reader 8. Nothing happens when I click on the signature field. No signature pop-up window appears.

I've created the fields using Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro. I enable commenting by Adobe Reader and save the document. Once I open the document in either Acrobat Pro or Reader, I can't sign the document.

I've enabled using the Windows Certificate store in both applications. I can sign a document with Acrobat Pro without a problem until I enable the commenting in Reader.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
