I am having a similar problem with AR8 icon. It will not let me delete it. I have uninstalled version 8 and still the icon is there. The other problem I'm having with it is if a right click on it it resets my desktop and task bar! When I hover on it with my mouse arrow it said "Adobe Reader 8.lnk" Also in my list of programs in the start menue, Adobe Reader 8 is listed. I can not delete that either. I have also reinstalled Windows XP2 (not a fresh install) and still have the same problems. Can anyone out there help me?
