The simplest solution that I have found is to completely remove Norton Systemworks and all references to it. If you have the AV from that package, use their uninstaller to remove everything else. The replacement for Norton that I have found is Ashampoo WinOptimizer. An excellent do most everything program that actually defrags your drive better and faster IMO. To the best of my knowedge-there is no other real fix as MS and Symantec are not likely to patch Systemworks versions prior to 2006.
