I wish I did not have to write this again-but you have joined with many others who need to completely remove ALL of the Adobe Reader folders. Start with Add/Remove Programs and then go to MY Computer and in the Program folder find everything Adobe and delete it. Since you have used several products to help clean up the machine, they appear to have not completely removed the entries in your Registry. This can be very Dangerous-do it only if you really know what to do!!! You need to remove ALL of the references to Adobe Reader from the Registry. I am not responsible for this-so make both a backup of the Registry and a Restore point. I am assuming that you have Windows XP w/SP2 fully patched, btw. Now you can do a download and install of Reader 8. Good luck
