I tried to update my Adobe Reader -- version 7 -- but version 8 wouldn't install saying I already had it on my machine. I didn't. So. I uninstalled Adobe Reader. I'm pretty sure I got it all. I used Norton Clean Sweep and System Mechanic. It was all gone. I was then able to install download manager. I can't install anything else. I just tried again. This time an even older version and got a message saying there is a functional version present. Nope -- there's not. Honest. There might be something on my PC but it's definitely not a functioning version. I cannot open pdf files at all now. Has anyone else had this problem?
