My problem was and still is an AR8 icon that I cannot delete, cannot move, cannot change its name. The Adobe Reader 8 file came by means of an attachment from a friend of mine. I moved the file to my desktop because I was unable to open it from the mail. I could not open it from the desktop either. So I deleted it, or so I thought. After I deleted it, the icon remained on the screen. It shows zero bytes and the computer doesn't recognize it being there. I've tried a number of solutions to no avail (starting in Safe Mode, using removal software, talking to gurus). Now today the same thing happened with another Adobe file from the same guy. So now I have two icons with zero bytes residing on my desktop. What else can I do to remove these icons
